About Us:
| Sutton State Bank has been serving customers since 1913. The Lewis family banking history began in 1932. William F. Hoerger led the banking team as President with his wife, Nelle Hoerger assisting. William F. Hoerger died in 1952 leaving the position for Nelle to hold. A woman in this role in the 50’s was somewhat uncommon. William and Nelle Hoerger along with William’s two sister’s Minnie Hoerger and Mabel Buck held the bank’s stock. Mabel Buck is the mother of Kathryn Buck. The family tradition of banking continued when Philip M. (Marty) Lewis Jr. joined the bank in 1955. Marty is the great nephew of William and Nelle Hoerger. In 1996, Vicki (Lewis) Kraai joined the bank management team with her father. The bank is currently 100% family owned today. Vicki represents the 3rd generation in the Lewis family banking business. We have a solid commitment to the Sutton Community and surrounding region. Our commitment is to provide professional financial services by employing qualified personnel to enhance the service we provide to our customers. |
